Make sure all parts are complete, including the pole tent body, support poles, ground nails, ropes, etc.

  • Inspect the body of the pole tents for tears, abrasions or holes.
  • Check the stand rods for bends or breaks.
  • Make sure the length of the pegs is appropriate for the chosen campsite surface.
  • Confirm whether the number and type of ropes meet the fixing requirements of pole tents.

Choose the right campsite

  • Choose an open area that is flat, dry, and free of obstacles to facilitate the stable construction of pole tents. Avoid setting up a pole tent in low-lying areas to prevent water accumulation.
  • You need to consider the wind direction and try to choose a leeward location to prevent the pole tents from being blown over by strong winds. Choose a site where the tent can be fixed to improve the stability of the tent.
  • On hot summer days, choosing a location that avoids direct sunlight can effectively lower the temperature inside pole tents and provide a cool resting environment.
  • Avoid building on steep hillsides to avoid dangers such as landslides.

How to set up a pole tent?

1. Preparation work

Clear stones, branches and other obstacles on the campground to ensure that the ground is flat. Orient the entrance to the pole tents and mark the four corners.

2. Install the bracket rod

According to the instructions, insert the bracket rod through the corresponding hole on the main body of the pole tent to form the skeleton of the tent.

3. Setting up a pole tent

Fix the four corners and edges of the tent to the ground nails with ropes, making sure the ropes are tight. Or use ground pegs to secure the tent. The fixed angle is based on the local wind speed.

4. Lay the tent fabric

Unfold the pole tents fabric and fix it to the frame.

Maintenance instructions

  • Check the nuts regularly to see if they are loose.
  • Regularly check whether the fastener is rusty or the nylon strap is severely aged.
  • Check regularly for tarpaulin damage. Observe the tarpaulin regularly and adjust the screw tension cloth again according to the degree of slack. If the tarpaulin is damaged in a small area, it can be repaired using similar materials and 502 or structural glue with similar functions.
  • Clear water and snow promptly according to the situation.
  • If water seepage or dripping is found at the segmented joints of the roof's inclined beams, apply weather-resistant structural sealant or butyl tape to repair them promptly.
  • If rust is found on steel parts, you can first use sandpaper to remove the rust, then clean the surface and repair it with silver self-spray paint.
