Aluminium Introduction:


The clear span is usually made of aluminium alloy or steel and other materials such as frame composition, for aluminium alloy frame and steel structure comparison:

1. Advantages of aluminium over steel:

  • Lightweight: aluminium is about one-third lighter than steel.
  • Corrosion resistance: Aluminium has good corrosion resistance properties and is self-protecting without the need for additional coatings or preservatives.
  • Machinability: compared to steel, aluminium is easier to drill, cut, bend, extrude, etc. Environmentally friendly: Aluminium can be recycled over and over again, and recycled aluminium is more energy efficient and environmentally friendly than aluminium derived from minerals.

According To The Experience Of Our Technicians, The Profile Dimensions Are Mainly Considered Through The Following Aspects


Load-bearing capacity: Determine the maximum load that the awning needs to withstand, including snow load, wind load and other gravity loads. According to the needs, select the appropriate profile size that can meet the load requirements. Generally, larger profile sizes will provide higher load carrying capacity. In order to provide an accurate selection of profiles, we will check the average annual and monthly wind speed, rainfall and snowfall according to the city of the client's project. We will use the extreme working conditions as the design criteria to calculate the required frame profile sizes and structural solutions;

Of course we also take into account the environmental conditions in which the clear span will be installed, such as the solidity of the ground and the wind speed. For areas susceptible to wind or unstable ground, more robust and sturdy profiles may be required to ensure the stability of the clear span .

Establish an integrated design system based on the basic needs of the customer to obtain more consistent and efficient production and quality control, as shown in the table below for a fixed-span clear span , each level of wind load and snow load corresponding to the design of the clear span structure;

Structural Analysis:

carry out preliminary design according to the design data, determine the overall structural form of the clear span , the shape and arrangement of the main components (e.g., steel frame, support system, etc.), and carry out load calculations, including wind load calculations, snow load calculations, as well as other possible load calculations, under the relevant national or regional norms. Reasonably determine the design loads according to the site conditions and usage requirements;

Perfect Design

According to the structural form and design requirements of the clear span , carry out detailed design, including the size of each component, material specifications, connection methods, etc.. Considering the feasibility of construction and installation, make a reasonable design scheme.

Conduct calculations on the design results to confirm the safety and reasonableness of each part of the structure. Perform static and dynamic analyses to evaluate the dynamic response of the structure.
